If you recognized the Toyota Crown name, then you’re probably a true Toyota fan. Although it’s one of the most legendary and longest-lasting nameplates the brand has ever built, it has been over five decades since the model has appeared here in the United States. After years of global success, Toyota decided to finally bring the icon home to North America, and it has seen plenty of success since making its triumphant return for the 2023 model year. So much success, in fact, that a brand-new model has now been added to the lineup. An estate – or five-door SUV – version of the vehicle will join the lineup this year in the form of the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia, and we cannot wait for it to arrive right here in Fort Scott, Kansas.

Toyota Hybrid Powertrain

A vast majority of the Toyota lineup is now built on the brand’s HEV platform, and the new Crown Signia is no different. The new crossover will be powered by a 2.5L four-cylinder engine alongside a front and rear electric motor, all three of which combine to generate a net of 243 horsepower total. While the EPA hasn’t had a chance to officially test fuel economy ratings, Toyota estimates the Crown Signia will achieve a combined 36 miles per gallon across city and highway driving.

Infotainment & Connectivity

A vehicle’s infotainment system is front and center in the vehicle and has truly become one of the most important aspects to shoppers across the industry. The 2025 Crown Signia will feature both a 12.3” Multi Information Display and a 12.3” Toyota Audio Multimedia system. The latter is packed full of great features and connected services, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Drive Connect, Service Connect, Safety Connect, Wi-Fi Connect and Remote Connect.

Advanced Safety Tech

Naturally, advanced safety technologies were at the forefront of thought for the vehicle’s engineers as they always are on the Toyota lineup. The latest Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite of features will come standard on the Crown Signia, and will be supplemented by additional features like Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Safe Exit Assist. Shoppers will also be able to opt for an Advanced Technology package on the Limited trim to add even more safety tech.
