What’s new for 2025?

There were a host of updates for the 2025 model year version of the traditional SUV, including the two features we’ll be touching on later. In addition to the new infotainment system the cabin has undergone a huge redesign, including new wrap-and-stitch soft-touch surfaces all over the vehicle interior and several new color schemes. Moving outside, there’s also a new black-painted roof option for certain trim levels. This is just scratching the surface of what’s new in the vehicle, so give us a call to learn more specifics.

Ford Digital Experience

Ford Digital Experience is the new infotainment system that will be found in future Ford vehicles, kicking off right here in the 2025 Ford Explorer. It essentially replaces Ford SYNC from older vehicles, but it’s a huge upgrade over the old system. It integrates many of your favorite apps from both Google and Alexa right into the display screen of your infotainment system, meaning you can even get YouTube in your SUV. These are supplemented by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for more connectivity than ever.

BlueCruise Hands-Free

Another huge upgrade this year is the introduction of available BlueCruise hands-free highway driving technology. This is a huge step in the direction of autonomous driving as it enables truly hands-free highway driving. This new system leverages technologies like Lane Change Assist, In-Lane Repositioning and Adaptive Cruise Control to operate on highways without any input from you on the pedals or wheels. You still need to stay attentive and be ready for anything, but this will certainly reduce stress on long trips.
