The Chevy Equinox has been a stalwart member of the Chevrolet lineup since it was first introduced in 2005, meaning the upcoming model year marks its 20th anniversary! With two decades under its belt, we’re stoked that the 2025 Chevy Equinox will be the first of its fourth generation. Originally a midsize crossover, this SUV has undergone plenty of changes, but this appears to be the biggest and best update yet. Updated Design Elements
The Equinox has been so redesigned this year that even its architecture has been adjusted, as evidenced by its 2.3” wider stance. Other updates to the vehicle’s design include distinct front fascias for each trim, squared wheel openings and fender flares, a C-pillar shark fin, all-LED lighting, aluminum wheels and more. We’ll touch on a new trim level later, but the RS trim features some unique design cues of its own, like black emblems and mirrors, a high-gloss finish on the grille bar and lower fascia and more.
New Features & Tech
The designers of the next-gen 2025 Chevy Equinox definitely had a focus on technology when building the all-new model. It all starts with a pair of large screens on the dashboard, including an 11” configurable driver information cluster and an 11.3” infotainment system. Other new features and tech include an Electronic Precision Shift, tactile materials and decorative trim used throughout the cabin of the vehicle and a host of advanced driver-assistive safety features including standard Chevy Safety Assist.
New ACTIV Trim Level
Finally, the Equinox will be available with a new trim level this year called ACTIV, which will be the Equinox’s first time offering an outdoorsy model designed with off-road driving in mind. The model offers unique design cues in the form of an exclusive front fascia, blacked-out badging, 17” machined-face aluminum wheels, a Maple Sugar and Black interior theme, Evotex and sueded microfiber seats, ACTIV-embroidered front head restraints, all-terrain tires and and a white roof/two-tone finish option.
