We all dread the day when we return to our cars in that Fort Scott Spring and Summer heat and the A/C doesn’t turn on. This can happen for several reasons, but they mostly involve your refrigerant not being able to do its job. Our shop is full of certified technicians who can find out why your A/C isn’t running and then recharge, also known as a refill, the system, so it works again. We’ll make sure your ride is cool whenever you need it to be.
At first glance, an A/C recharge seems simple: fill up the system with refrigerant so it can work. However, the reality is a little more complex because refrigerant isn’t consumed in your car’s A/C. This means that there shouldn’t ever need to be a refill unless the refrigerant has escaped somehow. Our technicians use a fluorescing gas to identify leaks in your system, and they can replace the parts that are faulty with genuine OEM parts that are made for your car’s make and model. Once they know the refrigerant won’t escape, they’ll charge the system.
When your A/C runs hot all the time, it can be a sign you need a recharge. However, as mentioned before, a recharge shouldn’t be necessary (in theory) since the refrigerant doesn’t escape. This means that a technician will first diagnose the problem, make sure it’s fixed, and then give you the recharge. We’re happy to help your A/C stay cool, and we’re happy to fix whatever may be wrong with your air conditioning system.
When we replace a part, we like to use OEM parts directly from your manufacturer. These parts are tailored specifically to your car’s make and model and are tested to perform at maximum capacity for you. Aftermarket parts aren’t tested specifically with your car and can’t guarantee performance like an OEM part can. Plus, OEM parts are approved by the manufacturer, so in case there’s a failure, there’s no risk of voiding your warranty.
