Globally, Crown is one of the most legendary nameplates on the Toyota lineup as it dates all the way back to 1955 and has never taken a prolonged break. While it hasn’t been available here in North America since all the way back 1972, the sixteenth generation was introduced for the 2023 model year and it made its triumphant return after more than 50 years. Now just two years later, Toyota is expanding on this iconic nameplate by introducing the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia, a five-door crossover SUV version said to have an “estate” body style. With a fast-approaching release date, we thought we’d highlight some of the technical specs of this model before it becomes available right here at Briggs Fort Scott.

“The Toyota Crown Signia takes all of the exceptional attributes of the Toyota Crown name and shapes them into a functional, sophisticated package that customers will adore. It’s the first-ever entry into the crossover SUV category for Toyota’s longest-running nameplate and it showcases how we continue to elevate our designs, deliver premium quality, and take Hybrid efficiency in versatile new directions.”

When will the Crown Signia be available?

The Crown Signia is most likely already in production, if not it will likely be entering production rather soon. This is because Toyota has stated that it will begin arriving at dealerships sometime this summer. Summer officially kicks off June 20th, 2024, so we expect the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia to be on the streets of Fort Scott by July. If we learn anything more specific we’ll be sure to fill you in.

2025 Crown Signia Technical Specifications

As one of the latest electrified models to grace the lineup as well, the 2025 Crown Signia will be underpinned by the Toyota HEV system. This hybrid powertrain combines a pair of electric motors with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine for a total of 243 horsepower while achieving a combined fuel economy rating of 36 miles per gallon. That kind of power enables this crossover to tow up to 2,700 pounds in addition to its spacious cargo area, which we know can accommodate up to 6.5-foot-long items thanks to 60/40-split seating.
