While a majority of the industry has done away with traditional sport utility vehicles from their lineups, the Jeep brand still considers it its bread and butter. Some brands might still have one or two classic SUVs in production, but the Jeep lineup features at least five different traditional SUVs in addition to a couple of modern crossovers and even a pickup truck. If you’re interested in impressive performance and off-road capability, particularly the latter, then the Jeep brand is an excellent choice for you. Be sure to check out the new Jeep vehicles we have for sale right here in Fort Scott, Kansas.
Even though the Jeep brand certainly specializes in traditional SUVs, it still has four different crossovers on its lineup. This subsection of the brand kicks off with the subcompact Jeep Renegade, then moves up to the compact Jeep Compass and Jeep Cherokee, before finishing off with the Jeep Grand Cherokee. While other Jeep models are particularly off-road ready, these crossovers are much more geared towards everyday driving. Even still, each one offers the impressively off-road-ready Trailhawk trim level!
Edging out the number of crossovers on the lineup, there are a total of five different traditional SUVs in production by the Jeep brand. This includes the absolutely iconic 2-door Wrangler and 4-door Wrangler Unlimited, as well as the Grand Cherokee L, all three of which are midsize SUVs. In addition, the full-size Wagoneer and full-size luxury Grand Wagoneer are also traditional SUVs. The Wrangler models might just be the most off-road capable vehicles on the entire market!
Some people might look at the Jeep Gladiator and just see a Wrangler with a truck bed, and they wouldn’t be far off. It’s built on the same platform as the current Wrangler and adopts a lot of the same design philosophy found in that vehicle. After nearly thirty years without a pickup truck on its lineup, the Gladiator succeeded the Jeep Comanche and has begun building its own legacy since 2020. It’s not only capable as a pickup truck, in terms of payload and towing, but also as an off-road vehicle.
