Power & Capabilities

There are two powertrain options from which to choose in the Sierra HD. The base 6.6L V8 option capable of generating 401 horsepower alongside 464 pound-feet of torque, or the available Duramax 6.6L turbo-diesel that boosts power up to an impressive 470 hp and 975 lb-ft. of torque. More impressive than that is its capabilities, as the 2500HD can haul up to 22,500 lbs and the 3500HD can haul 36,000 lbs.

Brand-new Denali Ultimate

As we mentioned, there’s a brand-new top-of-the-line trim level available in the 2024 GMC Sierra HD. The Ultimate Denali is slowly spreading throughout the lineup, and the Sierra HD is the most recent nameplate to get the new tier added to its offerings. This trim level takes everything the Denali model stands for up to the next level, adding a host of luxury-enhancing premium features like full-grain leather and more tech.
