What’s new for 2024?

Far too much has changed for the model year to cover in one paragraph, from new exterior design cues to a host of mechanical upgrades. This year also sees the introduction of the Pro Access Tailgate, a multifunction tailgate that provides easier access and more utility than ever. A new engine and the incredible Pro Power Onboard feature will be touched on further to the right, but we also want to mention the new bed storage box that provides even more cargo options as a standard feature across the board.

Powertrain Options

There’s a new standard engine for the 2024 model year, a 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine that’s capable of generating 325 horsepower alongside 400 pound-feet of torque, an increase on both fronts over the previous standard model. Other powertrain options include a 3.5L EcoBoost, 3.5L PowerBoost, 3.5L High Output, 5.0L V8 and 5.2L supercharged V8. The F-150 Lightning is considered a separate vehicle, so none of the information on this page necessarily relates to the EV version of the iconic pickup truck.

Pro Power Onboard

Finally, we want to touch on the industry-first, class-exclusive feature Ford calls Pro Power Onboard. This feature enables the F-150 to deliver power to a host of different things through outlets embedded in the truck bed. From charging personal devices while camping, to powering critical household appliances in a power outage, this feature is incredibly useful in an emergency, but also just a great way to power tools at your jobsite or play music at the tailgate. This year the feature has received an updated digital interface.
