What’s new for 2023?

A few years into its second generation, and even a couple of years after a mid-generation facelift, Jeep engineers have given the Compass plenty of updates about which to get excited. This includes things like new advanced safety features, which we’ll touch on to the right, new 17” wheel designs and exterior color offerings plus a few other feature shifts between trim levels. The biggest update, though, is its all-new engine.

Powertrain Options

This year, Jeep has introduced one of the most technologically advanced engines not just in the Compass or on the Jeep lineup, but in the entire automotive industry. The new engine is a 2.0L turbocharged inline four-cylinder featuring direct injection and tethered to an eight-speed automatic transmission and Jeep Active Drive 4x4. The engine can generate up to 200 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque.

Safety & Security

The Jeep Compass is packed with outstanding safety and security features, including a few new advanced technologies like drowsy driver detection, rear seat reminder alert and security alarm. All three of these features are standard across the board. They’re joined by features like Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, Pedestrian/Cyclist Automatic Emergency Braking and many others.
