Over the past several years, the reputation Chrysler has developed is that it’s one of the very best automakers in the game when it comes to minivans. The Chrysler Pacifica and Voyager models are top notch within their segment, but minivans are not the only vehicles that the brand makes. Chrysler only has a few models in production, but the 2023 Chrysler 300 is certainly one of them. The 300 spans back to 2005 and it continues to be a great option in the full-size luxury sedan segment. If you’re shopping for such a vehicle here in Fort Scott, Kansas, we definitely recommend checking it out.
All of that said, it seems like Chrysler might be ready to focus solely on minivans, as the company has confirmed the 2023 model year will be the final for this icon. Naturally, not much needed to change given that fact, however there is now a SafetyTec Plus Group option available which adds a host of safety technologies and features to the vehicle.
Furthermore, to commemorate the rich legacy of the Chrysler 300, which actually spans back close to 70 years not just back to 2005 when the current iteration was introduced, the company is producing a limited run of 2,000 units for a unique performance-oriented variant called the Chrysler 300C. It will be powered by a 6.4L HEMI engine and feature a ton of unique features and design cues.
The regular Chrysler 300 will be powered by one of two engine options. The vehicle comes standard with a 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine capable of generating up to 292 horsepower alongside 260 pound-feet of torque, which can be boosted to 300/264 with the sport-tuned 300S trim level. The other option is a 5.7L HEMI V8 that generates 363 hp and 394 lb-ft. The 300C will offer 485/475 respectively.
