The iconic F-150 pickup truck just entered its 14th generation for the 2021 model year, so not much needed to be changed this year. Even still, some new content was introduced for 2022 in the form of two new packages. Many trim levels have received available Black Appearance Packages, while the Bed Utility Package has been introduced as optional on XL, XLT, Lariat King Ranch, Platinum and Tremor, but standard on King Ranch, Platinum and Limited. In addition, a new Atlas Blue exterior color option is now available.
The 2022 Ford F-150 provides both best-in-class available towing and best-in-class available payload, meaning whatever types of jobs you’re trying to get done with your new pickup truck, it’s more than capable. The SuperCab 8’ box and SuperCrew 4x2 equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine and Max Trailer Tow package is capable of towing up to 14,000 lbs. The Regular Cab 8’ box 4x2 equipped with the 5.0L V8 engine and both Max Trailer Tow and Heavy-Duty Payload packages can haul up to 3,325 lbs. In its bed.
There are many different available models, trim levels and configurations in the 2022 Ford F-150. Available trim levels include the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, Tremor and Raptor. Body styles include Regular, SuperCab and SuperCrew, while available box sizes are 5.5’, 6.5’ and 8’. You’ll also be able to choose between 4x2 or 4x4, and some trim levels will let you choose which powertrain option you want.
